FOLEY ART

An art form developed back in the silent movie era, Jack Foley (The Creator of Foley Art) worked with universal for years creating and developing sounds for movies. I thought this was interesting because you've come to think that the movie sounds come from the actors, vehicles, etc, then they just doctor out any unwanted sounds. Not the case here y'all, they take ordinary toys, trinkets, ornaments, sports equipment, weaponry, you name it, and create sounds for the movies you hear today. The reason we have Foley art, is to produce unique and interesting sounds for movies that create a more interactive environment the viewer, as well as making the movie more exciting. Just some food for thought y'all. As a wannabe producer, I think it would be pretty cool and simple to do this.
