King Boom is dropping "Concrete lessons" on the 1st of September. Make sure to cop it when the time comes. Honestly, when I hear a KB track, it's almost like a hybrid of everything you may have heard, to create one unique sound. It's great to hear music that doesn't follow the same guidelines of so many others. The vibe is so consistent, crisp, smooth, syncopated. KB is on to something, give it a listen and grab the download on the 1st. Flow Worthy!
Fama has caught my attention since his last album I posted last week. This time he brings out a more soulful set, enticing both the pallet and eardrums, if your hungry for music that is. Flow Worthy!
Those of you who have come to the blog since the beginning, may remember me posting Abstract One a couple months back. This time he brings out some vintage game sounds that I never grow tired of. Maybe it's so nostalgic that it overclouds my judgement into thinking the music is good, when it's not? No. The music is good, to think otherwise would suggest a visit to the doctors. I know some people are getting tired of the 8-bit shit, but each producer always throws their own flavor into each track, and that's something to appreciate and enjoy. Flow Worthy!
Insightful had a lot of great music on Bandcamp (33 tracks in all), that I don't think I've seen on a tape (These might be Bandcamp exclusive downloads?). So, I grabbed all those songs and made a RAR file download for y'all. Enjoy the tunes and the download (Just click on the image below). Flow Worthy!
The funny thing is, I've known about Insightful, never knew about his Bandcamp. Glad I found it though. "Insightful Stupid" is for the experimental heads. Nodding to that Neptunian beat. I was feeling a cosmic/psychedelic vibe. Flow Worthy!
As a big fan of portishead, SonnyMoon is definitely on my top "Most Listened to" artists. Their vibe is almost a carbon copy of portishead, with a slight, yet favorable twist of wordplay and sounds. Accompanied by Introspective Minds, the feeling is chill and thought provoking. Enjoy this single from the collaboration. Buy it or get it for free, your choice. Flow Worthy!
BEATMUP drops their assortment of some of Rotterdams finest producers, handpicks there favorite tracks, and lays them out, right on a Beattape. You'll see artists like 1st Angle, Maitro, and J'Dicious. You might be more familiar with StatikMusic, Bluntspeakers, and Presto. What I'm looking forward to is some tunes from Ivan Ice, J'83 and Festa. Scroll on down the page, look at the blogroll/sites that contribute, and head over to BeatMup today, while the beats are still warm. Flow Worthy
If you have any questions about these two tracks, let me know in the comments. I didn't want to write a 5 page summary about the two artists on the post, but don't mind doing that in the comments if anyone really wants to know about em. Flow Worthy!
With a huge thanks to Beat-Ape4 over at Strictly Beats, I give you Wax Paper Cup. He's got a lot of experimental, but once he throws down the hip-hop vibe, you can't help but savor it. Thanks to Wax P. for dropping it on Bandcamp, immediately found. Flow Worthy!
Lots of dope cuts from Fama. Jazzy and laid back, you can't beat a combination like that. Enjoy this album from Fama, and stay tuned for more. Flow Worthy!
Hands down "491" was my joint (puff puff pass), I was really feeling that track. This tape is going to have something for everyone. This was a good find, I hope y'all enjoy this one. Flow Worthy!
Dam!Beer, an instant favorite for those who enjoy experimental hip-hop. Everytime I listen to a dam!beer track, I put my foil hat on and roll the fattest. Even when your sober, you will still be blown away. Grab both, the Jediwrap EP along with his old beats. Flow Worthy!
I'm not sure if there is going to be more than just two beats on this one. Check back in a couple of days and see if there is still only 2. I know how long it takes to upload to Bandcamp and it isn't short. Flow Worthy!
This is an awkward post because I thought I had posted it before, and I didnt. I looked through the archives at Strictly Beats, and it wasn't there. I have no idea how it got in my library on my comp, but I'm glad it did. Real, hard hitting beats. That Bobblehead music, lol. Flow Worthy!
Soul, funk, experimental, electronic, and boom bap. Those are my favorite beat genres. Style Wars has some great samples, swagger, and composition. Hope to hear more from him in the future. Flow Worthy!
Satisfactory soul syncopation's, really enjoyed this album as well. I think im getting down to the bottom of the barrel on bandcamp, music is becoming more and more scarce, might have to give posting a break for a week. We will see, until then, enjoy some Uncanny. Flow Worthy!
Alright, before I talk about Itsua, y'all may have noticed a difference, 7 posts per page now, say what! Let me know how the loading goes, if it's slow, I'll drop it back down to 5, I just wanted more per page (without the long scrolling to the bottom, or slow loading you get with most blogs), and 7 seemed pretty substantial (even though it's only 2 more). Itsua on the other hand, drops some beat salad, I like mine with some tomatoes, croutons, and some salad dressing. Beats are good for you too, stay healthy and grab some. It's one of those "Name Your Price Tapes". If you snag it for free, let others know about it. Flow Worthy!
I think this album deserved a re-up, I remember posting it sometime back, but I think it deserves one more look. For those Flow Worthy faithful, you might have already copped this, if you didn't, why? Flow Worthy!
I have no clue who Fruits is, but you can bet I'm going to find out. Loving the symphony samples, with those slight and subtle hip-hop undertones. Not to subtle though, enough to the point where it can still be called hip-hop. Flow Worthy!
If I understand correctly, we've got the cuts from Dj Abstract, some tracks feature Hayzee's crazy composition, along with the trio StatikMusics production. Yep, this album is awesome. Flow Worthy!
I don't know why I didn' post this last week, but should have. Espiv over at Strictly Beats covered that. All said and done, Deca One has been laying bricks, building a musical empire of his own. Very unique and excitingly consistent, it's hard to want to skip to the next track. Once the vibe sets in, you'll see what I mean. Flow Worthy!
Finally, I was waiting for Tree Woods to drop an album. Ever since I posted his "Starship" single back in May. This is another vocal album, but I have to make an exception for it, just like fresh daily, really feeling the beats on this one. Flow Worthy!
If the beats are dope, it's getting posted, regardless of vocals. Plus, the "Doing It" track was produced by Calvin the Genius! Look at the producer list, most of it old tunes, but still, it sounds cool when someone spits over a good beat, BENAMIN, CALVIN THE GENIUS, DEVONWHO, HI-RES, FLYING LOTUS, SCOTT FREEBASS, MELO-X, MNDSGN, SAMIYAM, FLYAMSAM, J DILLA, DJ MENTPLUS. Flow Worthy!
Dylan has a lot of that hard hitting music, the kind that makes you want to get up and knock a motherfucker out. Some of his music is so tranquil, it will relax you. Other times you just want to sit and listen because its, Flow Worthy!
Say what!! Ichiro_ finally got a Bandcamp! If y'all don't know one of Japans "Best" beatmakers, get to! This track is a dollar, but it will make you holler. Gonna buy my joint right after this post. Alright, so let me fill y'all in. Here's his Myspace, Soundcloud, Blogspot, Twitter, and that about covers it. Flow Worthy!
I always "Prospect", before I dig for gold. Soul sufficient and somewhat magnificent, prospect hits us up with some sultry sounds for the beat connoisseur. You see that little play on words thing I did at the beginning of the post? Dope! Flow Worthy!
Posted this on the Strictly Beats chat box, but I think it belongs here as well, just don't like making posts sometimes, lazy. I enjoyed this one, really felt like it had a 90's vibe. Flow Worthy!
I want to post things that sound different, Reggie Coby has a unique style. A mix between Timbaland, some Pharrell, and Jermaine Dupri. They are tagged, but it doesn't chime too often, enough to the point where its annoying. I also Like having the album art under the posts like I did with King Boom and Element, expect that style from now on. Flow Worthy!
King Boom sends two tantalizing tracks teeming with tumultuous taps, slaps, claps, and hi-hats. "To be free", is a laid back hazy batch of musical batter that slowly drips from the speakers to the floor. While "Emcees Phone Home", lays out a repetitive, but interesting sound, definitely a track to spit on. Overall, look forward to more from King Boom. The sound has some swagger, and over time it develops. Constructive criticism is always appreciated. Make sure to check the archives on FW for some more. Flow Worthy!
Was definitely feeling this beat tape, sounds like Madlib was an inspiration on this one. Samples galore, giving you that chilled out vibe. Flow Worthy!
Excellent sounds from Dutchmassive, the beats really pound, dropping your ass to the ground. Stand up chump and buy it, or grab each individual track for free, wuss. Flow Worthy!
